HushknockPrivacy policy
In short: Hushknock has no account and no server. Your medications, schedules, dose history and notes are stored only on your iPhone. We never see them, and we never sell or share personal data. The only thing sent from the app is anonymous usage statistics.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter in Hushknock, including medication names, doses, schedules, whether a dose was taken, skipped or missed, and any notes, is stored in the app's own storage on your device. Widgets and the lock screen Live Activity read a small copy of upcoming doses from the same protected app storage. This data is included in your device backups according to your iOS settings (iCloud Backup or a computer backup); Apple's privacy policy governs those backups.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. No notification content is sent to us or to any server. In discreet mode the lock screen shows only the time, never the medication name.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which features are used and to fix problems, Hushknock sends anonymous usage events (for example “a medication was added”, “the report screen was opened”, “the app was active today”) to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These events carry a salted, hashed device identifier that cannot be linked to you, plus device type, iOS version and app version. They never include medication names, doses, notes or any other health information. TelemetryDeck's own policy is at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
If the app was installed after tapping an Apple Search Ads advertisement, the app asks Apple's AdServices framework once whether that was the case, so we can learn which campaign worked. This returns campaign identifiers only, no personal data.
Purchases
Hushknock Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. Your purchase status is stored by Apple and read by the app to unlock Pro features.
Data you export
The CSV export and the doctor report PDF are created on your phone and shared only with the apps or people you choose in the share sheet. Once shared, they are outside Hushknock's control.
Children
Hushknock is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your choices
Deleting a medication deletes its history. Deleting the app deletes all its data from your phone. Because usage statistics are anonymous, there is nothing we could look up or delete for you on request, and nothing we could hand over.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
